CIE SBU Scholars Application

Thank you for your interest in the CIE SBU Scholars program! This program provides an opportunity for PhD students to build community on campus, learn professional development skills, and apply for additional funding support.

Before applying, visit our website to review important information about the CIE SBU Scholars program and eligibility requirements. Only doctoral students who have not received prior funding from the CIE are eligible to apply to this program. 

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until June 30, 2025. 

There is no cap on the number of acceptances into the CIE SBU Scholars program. However, applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible so they have the best chance of taking advantage of the funding opportunities available to CIE SBU Scholars.  

Successful applicants will provide deeply considered answers and specific examples that show a connection to the CIE's mission. Applicant CVs will also be reviewed for activities related to community and/or the CIE's mission.
