Faculty Excellence in Resident/Fellow Mentoring Award

Faculty Excellence in Resident/Fellow Mentoring Award Open to all Renaissance School of Medicine faculty. The award recognizes faculty members for the outstanding support of residents and/or fellows.

Submission Guidelines
Criteria that may be considered in selecting a nominee include the provision of sound advice with respect to the course of study, encouraging the best performance from residents/fellows, generosity of time or other measures of effort at mentoring, advice, and other assistance regarding the quality of performance and clinical care, extraordinary efforts to advocate for residents/fellows.

The award requires a letter of nomination by the faculty member's Department Chair or Division Chief, a letter of support by another faculty member, letters of support from three (3) residents/fellows who have direct knowledge of the nominee's mentoring activities, and the nominee's CV. 

All submissions must be completed electronically, preferably as a SINGLE PDF file. The file name should be the first initial last name of the nominee and the date of submissions (eg jdoe061708). If there are more than one set of files, please label them as above with an additional digit (eg jdoe061708-1, jdoe061708-2, etc). No packet shall be more than 20 pages including appendices.

Nominations will be accepted up to July 31, 2024. Awards will be presented at our Annual Faculty Awards Ceremony in Fall 2024.
