  • Clear and high quality
  • Taken by another person
  • Good lighting
  • Professional look and attire
  • Person contrasts well against the background
  • Clearly displays the person's face
  • Features upper torso and leaves room above the top of the person's head

What makes for a bad photo?
  • Poor quality, pixelated or blurry
  • Selfie
  • Not professional look and/or attire
  • Social media-style filter has been applied
  • Poor lighting
  • Screenshot or photo of a photo
  • Person is cut out and digitally added to another background
  • Does not fit the required dimensions (dashed yellow line shows what would need to be cropped)
